A Beginning

"In total acceptance, almost anything can be a revelation." ~~ Frederick Sommer

Although my goal is total acceptance, I am thankful that even a small level of acceptance yields revelation. I continue to see wonder and beauty in all circumstances as I let go of trying to hold onto former perceptions that no longer serve me.

It seems only appropriate to begin openly sharing my journey on the one year anniversary of an event that has changed my life. Anyone that spends much time with me would agree that I am rarely at a loss for words. I have certainly not been silent with those who know me about my thoughts and feelings as I process what has happened. However, sharing outside of my inner circle of friends and family begins today. I hope to share what I am learning and what inspires me in the hope that it may also touch others.

Becky, I need to read a good book, and as always, trust your judgement. Remember our discussions of the Red Tent, The Awakening and even The Ya Yas. God, woman how I need to be with you and really share again! Roger has had a rough month dealing with leukemia and a nasty ICU adventure. Today as the nurses read your story, they ask each other and me, "Can you believe this?" Oh, yes indeed--I believe, but, wait, if you knew how beautiful this woman is, you'd find a lot more worthwhile things out about her and then you'd have something worth believing in. Jacquie

Becky- Thanks for being so open and sharing what you have learned. It is inspiring to hear of your resolve to see the best in all situations. Although I don't know you personally I do know your beautiful daughter, Erin and son-in-law, Greg, as I graduated from high school with them. And I found out about your story last year through Jeremy's website as we have common friends and they had a link to his blog. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers!
